The
library is open to the student, staff and residents of the communities
served by Oxbow from 7:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and after hours by
appointment. The library contains a unique collection of periodicals
and a good variety of other materials in print, non-print and audio
visual format. Most printed materials may be borrowed or reserved.
Computers are provided for student use. Recording, listening and
viewing machines are also available for use in the school and overnight.
Nothing is to be removed from the library without proper authorization.
Responsibilities for using the library and its contents are as follows:
- Maintain a scholarly atmosphere
- Handle all materials appropriately
- Check out materials as needed and return them promptly
- Report and pay for damage/loss of any materials
Length
of loan: Books – two (2) weeks with three (3) renewals: Teacher
Reserve Books – overnight, one (1) renewal (with permission):
Videos – overnight with one (1) renewal.
Overdue books/videos:
no additional books/videos can be checked out.
Audio Visual equipment:
student must have permission from his/her teacher to use audiovisual
equipment. Equipment may not be taken off campus without teacher
supervision. A student needing audiovisual equipment for a class
should fill out a request form in the library one day in advance.
